HEArec
An electronic music label I co-founded, and its whole look.
- Role
- Co-founder · Identity & art direction

- 2019
- Stack
- Photoshop · Illustrator

- Context
- A label is recognised by ear first — I wanted it recognisable at a glance too.
- What I did
- Logotype, sleeve system, HEARpod podcasts, posters. On the label side: production and artist management.
- Outcome
- The label found its audience and was later sold. Over 70 releases, 4,600+ Instagram followers.
The process
HEAR, a word you listen to
The full name is long, so the logotype cuts it down to four letters: HEAR. The angular letters, with a reversed R, work as well large on a poster as small in the corner of a sleeve.

HEARpod: one world per episode
For the HEARpod podcast and mix series, each episode gets its own visual world. The only constant is the HEAR logotype as a signature. Enough freedom to fit each artist, enough rules for the series to stay recognisable.

The catalogue
Side by side, the releases form a varied catalogue that still holds together: textures, type and colours change, the signature stays.

Three label releases
HEARpod #16 with Nepou, Nesstor's “Universa” and R:Izyac & Nesstor's “Reality Free”: three sleeves, three visual worlds, the HEAR logotype in the corner every time.

The nights
An electronic label also lives on the dancefloor. I designed posters and visuals for techno events, including a night in March 2019 with partner collectives.
